Introduction

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is a provincial constitutional body responsible for administering recruitment and examinations for civil service jobs in the Pakistani province of Sindh.

The commission was established under Article 243(d) of the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan and has its headquarters in Karachi. The Commission is currently headed by Mr. Mumtaz Ali Shah.

The SPSC has advertised various jobs for the year 2022. The jobs are open to both men and women who meet the eligibility criteria.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed their Intermediate (Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Commerce, Arts, or Equivalent examination from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education recognized by the Government of Sindh with at least Second Division or an equivalent grade are eligible to apply.


Age Limit

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has announced jobs for eligible and competent candidates. The age limit for the job is 18-28 years. The age limit may be relaxed in certain cases.


Qualification

A candidate for any of the posts advertised must:

  1. Possess at least a Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Bachelor’s degree from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
  2. Be a citizen of Pakistan.
  3. Have attained the age of 21 years and below 30 years on the first day of January, 2022. relaxation in age limit shall be admissible as per government rules in vogue.
  4. Be medically fit according to the standards laid down for the respective Service/Posts.

Application Form

The application form is available on the SPSC website www.spsc.gov.pk. The duly completed application form along with a Bank Draft / Pay Order of Rs. 1200/- for BPS-17 and above and Rs. 600/- for BPS-16 and below (non-refundable) in favor of Sindh Public Service Commission, Hyderabad should be submitted to the Secretary, Sindh Public Service Commission, Thandi Sarak, Hyderabad latest by 11:59 PM on the closing date i.e., March 1, 2022. No application will be entertained after due date and time under any circumstances.

Make sure you fulfill all the eligibility criteria before applying for any post advertised by SPSC . The application forms that are incomplete or are received after the due date will not be entertained by Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).

Test Pattern

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) conducts recruitment tests for vacant posts in Grade 17 and above in the Sindh government.

The Commission has a written examination and interview for the recruitment of officers in Grade 17 and above. The written examination consists of five papers, each of three hours duration. The papers are as follows:

1) General Ability Test Paper
2) English Essay
3) Sindhi Essay
4) Urdu Essay
5) Pakistan Affairs
6) Current Affairs


The interview is of 20 marks.


Syllabus

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has announced the syllabus for the competitive examination for the recruitment of civil servants in the province of Sindh.

The examination will be held in two parts, with Part A consisting of a written test and Part B consisting of a viva-voce.

Part A will consist of two papers, each of three hours duration. Paper I will test the candidates' knowledge of English and Urdu, and will carry a total of 100 marks. Paper II will be an objective paper testing the candidates' knowledge of Sindh history, culture and current affairs, and will carry a total of 200 marks.

Part B will be an interview carrying 100 marks.
